An Integrated Care approach recognises the mutually influencing nature of mental health and substance use. It recognises that effective care is best provided when treatment plans for both conditions are integrated. Integrated care relies on collaboration, shared understanding and a focus on what matters most to consumers, carers, families and supporters.

In this session, members of the Northeast Local Implementation Team will share the story behind Integrated Care, No Spin - a Department of Health Victoria-funded series of animations featuring real stories and perspectives on engaging with mental health and alcohol and other drug services.

The session will include:

• Integrated Care Matters: a conversation with Amelia Berg from Harm Reduction Victoria and the Northeast Local Implementation Team
• Animations showcased followed by small group reflection
• Practical examples of how the resources can be used in day-to-day practice and team learning
• Opportunities for questions, discussion, and shared learning

Whether you work in mental health or alcohol and other drug services, this session offers practical ideas and resources to support integrated care in your own setting.

Resources and links will be provided following the session.
